ABOUT

Sandwell Cultural Education Partnership (SCEP) is a partnership of sector professionals, cultural enthusiasts & creative advocates who are working with children & young people (aged 0–25yrs) in Sandwell. Our membership consists of organisations, individuals and local authority services to come together to develop a more joined-up local arts and cultural offer for children and young people.

Sandwell Cultural Education Partnership (SCEP) was developed as a response to the National Cultural Education Challenge and Sandwell Council’s Vision 2030.

Sandwell Cultural Education Partnership (SCEP) will become the strategic partnership for arts, cultural education, heritage and creative media/technology in Sandwell (West Midlands).

Vision

To support all Sandwell’s Children and Young People to thrive and achieve in and through the arts and creativity.

To establish Sandwell as a cultural education leader for children and young people’s arts and culture in the Black Country.

The young people involved learnt a variety of creative and life skills that will equip and prepare them for development in their personal lives and future education/career paths. It was a fantastic opportunity and format to broaden their knowledge and experience with fruit and food they may not otherwise have had the opportunity to experience. It was particularly rewarding to see their confidence and skills flourish as the week progressed and the development of interaction, trust and formation of relationships as the week progressed. It was truly a rewarding and beneficial experience for all involved.
